Faircape Health Institute’s sub-acute facilities in both Somerset West and Tokai offer state-of-the-art rehabilitation environments designed to support safe, progressive recovery and patient wellbeing.

Recently upgraded facilities include fully equipped physical rehabilitation gyms, occupational therapy gyms, dedicated cognitive rehabilitation and specialised hand therapy spaces, as well as an ADL (Activities of Daily Living) kitchen to help patients regain essential everyday skills for independent living.

Set within calm, restorative surroundings, each centre combines advanced rehabilitation equipment with thoughtfully designed spaces, premium accommodation options, and supportive on-site amenities, including landscaped walking paths, peaceful communal areas, a pharmacy, coffee shop, and oxygen support, to create a holistic healing environment focused on comfort, recovery, and dignity.

Long Term Facilities

Faircape Health Institute’s long-term care facilities across the Western Cape provide compassionate, person-centred environments designed to support residents’ long-term wellbeing, comfort, and quality of life. Advanced InBody BWA 2.0S Body Water and Composition Scan:

This advanced piece of equipment provides a non-invasive assessment of a patient’s hydration levels, muscle mass, body fat composition and overall physical wellbeing. InBody scan benefits include:

  • Supporting personalised rehabilitation programmes

Visitation Policy

  • Visiting hours are from 11:00 to 19:00 daily.
  • Family-friendly visiting areas include outdoor decks, boardwalks, and comfortable communal spaces.
  • Quiet wellness gardens and restorative outdoor spaces are available for patients and families.
  • Pet visits and pet therapy are welcomed where appropriate.
  • Facilities feature mobility-friendly design with good lighting, handrails, and clear walkways.
  • Camera monitoring, security systems, and overnight observation support patient safety and peace of mind
  • Please note, with the patients health and recovery a top priority, no food is allowed to be brought into the facility. If a loved one would like to bring in food, they must obtain permission from the dietician and treating team for formal approval.
